November 2020 - Frosty leaves
I walk my dog most mornings and often go around our local golf course, which is conveniently situated near my home. Sometimes I do something different (I don’t want to be seen as a creature of habit!) and walk to the Raynes Park Sports and Social ground with her. But whichever way I go, I always pass the few houses between mine and the path through the golf course. This day, there had been a deep frost overnight, and the front wall of one of my neighbours had a whole lot of leafy plants with these frosty rims around them. This is what winter is all about! Cold, dry, sunny, frosty … I can cope with those. I just don’t like rain and slush. Not a great fan of snow, either, if I’m out while it is falling, but snow-covered roads, houses, gardens, trees and whatever else you can think of, can be extremely beautiful.
No snow this day, just these lovely leaves telling me that it had been, and still was, cold.
